SHEA MACGREGOR

Shea had been dreaming of riding motorcycles since she was a little girl. So, she was beyond excited when her parents surprised her with her first dirt bike when she was nine. They thought woods riding would be a fun family activity. Little did they suspect that three years later Shea would be spending nearly all of her summer weekends at motocross tracks, successfully competing for local series championships, and trying to qualify for the Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National.

Toward the end of summer 2022, while Shea was recovering from an “untimely lapse in talent” on a motocross track, – her words, she attended a CRA race at Brainerd International Raceway. She naturally decided she had to try road racing! After spending all winter researching the best starter bike and the right gear, and in mid-July she attended her first track day. To nobody’s surprise, Shea loved it! Immediately she signed up for as many track days as possible for the rest of the summer.

To fund her motorcycle habit Shea works as a mechanical engineer designing chassis and drivetrain systems for custom fire trucks. Her position has a wide variety of responsibilities, which she loves. On any given day she could be designing the frame and overall layout of a chassis, advising customers on which engine/transmission/suspension combination would work best for their application, or designing entirely new drivetrain subsystems for the next generation of trucks.

Being chosen as part of the BTR team has been a surprise and a dream come true. She hopes to learn as much as she can from the team, become a better rider, and share her passion for motorcycles with the world.
