Erin Ferris

I started riding motorcycles recreationally at the age of 15, progressing quickly from 125cc to 250cc bikes in mostly desert and trail riding. I was introduced to flat track in early 2019 where I became addicted to the sport and built my first competitive race bike. Over the course of my first year, I had traveled to several states, competing in the 250cc amateur and ladies classes, taking several podium finishes, and starting to make my mark on the flat track community. Early 2020, I took the leap and bought a professionally built GNC raced 450cc DTX bike. With the pandemic wiping out plans of making my debut in the 450cc amateur classes, I managed to hunt down enough races on the west coast to get practice on the bike and take home 4 podium finishes by the end of the year. Over the last few years, I have become very involved in the sport and the community, being passionately driven to draw more women into racing and to achieve personal goals on the track. The track is my happy place; to share it with family and friends makes it that just much better.

When asked why Erin was keen on being part of the BTR program she responded

“Being crazy isn’t enough!”
